Mute Monday: Brand(s)

I have to break the muteness to remind people of this series - one of the earliest programmes I can remember watching. I was enthralled by the opening credits, which I have been unable to find online. Even though I was so very young, I was mesmerised by the soldier having the epaulettes and insignia ripped from his jacket and his sword broken over the officer's knee because he was accused of being a coward.

Of course, no Mute Monday would be complete without a Star Trek reference, so I give you Admiral... Andrea Brand :)

  7. The baby with the logo is a great picture and I may have to "lift" it as I leave. AND, thanks for the last shot too.... you know you're in trouble now, right? All of your Mutes are going to require Star Treks. Hee.

    Happy MM!

  8. Well done with the Trekkie reference. And Chuck Connors? I remember that show well! The broken sword is the scene I remember best in those opening credits. It's got to be 30 years since I've seen a rerun of that show!

  12. I remember 'Branded' as well - saw the first episode when it was first shown on Brit tv in the mid 60s and was also captivated by the breaking of the cavalry sword over the officer's knee. Never realised it was Chuck Connors, though.
